C.S. co-hosts and co-produces Against the Grain. His previous radio experience includes co-producing the daily talk show Working Assets Radio with Laura Flanders on KALW-FM in San Francisco; co-hosting KPFA's daily investigative news program Flashpoints; and hosting the radio version of New California Media. He also did extensive research for two documentary series: the PBS series Ancestors in the Americas (about the history of Asians in the US) and the award-winning public radio series The DNA Files. C.S. has a B.A. in history from Brown University and a J.D. from Cornell Law School. He's also done graduate work in philosophy at San Francisco State University. C.S.'s written work has appeared in publications as diverse as ColorLines, Turning Wheel, and IndyKids.
