In 1999, the Pacifica Radio network was rocked by massive crisis, leading to the shutdown of KPFA and thousands of people marching in the streets of Berkeley to demand their station back. In its wake, a new governance system was put in place. Ten years later, historian Matthew Lasar and KPFA's Aileen Alfandary take stock.
