Ephemeral Monument

Change for Equality

Iranian students, both in Iran and abroad, mobilized against the Shah's regime and then, after 1979, against the Islamic Republic. Taraneh Hemami and Gita Hashemi are part of Theory of Survival, an art exhibition inspired by student protest literature. Behrooz Ghamari provides further commentary on the Iranian student movement and its legacy.

Wow! Great Show!

Wow! Great Show!

Thanks for these fascinating

Thanks for these fascinating interviews. I am glad your guests raised the problem of sexism and gender relations in the left movements which are not specific to Iran or that period. We can see that in many leftist organizations here too. Thanks also for the mention and the link to Iranian women's campaign for equality which I didn't know about before this show. We are kept in total ignorance about what really goes on in Iran since we're fed so much propaganda by our government and mainstream media. Thanks CS. Keep up the good work.

wonderful interview

Thank you for this wonderful interview on a topic that is rarely acknowledged outside the specific generation within Iranian community. This topic is quite significant part of Iran's recent history and need to be recognized as such.
